Bathroom set

I have created a bathroom set for James Ensor he will be using this bathroom set for his show-reel. Before I created this scene I have done some basic research on modern day bathrooms. I have modeled a toilet, sink, bathtub, radiator, mirror cupboard, a draw, toilet roll holder, a light, toothbrush, toothpaste and a cup. By creating this set I think it has helped me improved my modelling skills on 3d maya.

The images above were James drawings, he wanted each object to look like the way he has drawn them so I used these images as an image plane on maya.

Research

Lately I have been watching some youtube tutorials videos on how to create a car on 3D Maya this work will be in my show-reel.

I have also found a website for all the blue prints so it would be easier to model the objects with a image plane.

My aim is to make a Mini Cooper so hopefully watching these tutorials will improve modeling skills.

Concept Art Back Ground Designs.

I have helped Brett to design and create a classroom for his work the style of his animation will be similar to Fairly Odd Parents and Dexter cartoons.

I drew the layout first, after discussing with Brett he wanted me to change the back ground slightly and create this layout  on Photoshop.

Photoshop no colours

My choice of colours
Brett was happy with my layout design, the back ground wasn't finish I still had to finish the tables and make some slight changes however after Brett spoken to Hillary he had to change parts of his layout designs so the classroom may not be use in his film.

Story Boarding!

I have story board one of Bens scenes for him.

Quick story boarding to plan camera angles and the set. I also had to change some of the story boards so the camera angles will be right.

Second set of buildings

The second set of buildings created in 3D Maya.

Developments of silhouettes front Buildings

I have tried to create the first set of the buildings, its been quite tricky as i had to make the buildings to lined up with the image plane but after a few attempts I have finally finish the first set in 3D maya.

3rd Year!! New projects and Group Work!

Week 1 I've been working in Bens Group. In our group there is Harley, Zoe and Alice. I started off creating different styles of building in 3D Maya and copying Ben's image plane for the buildings.
The Building silhouettes are Ben's designs, my aim is to create a set in 3d Maya like the images below.

This is my first attempt of a building created in 3d Maya as you can see the style is similar to Ben design. The style has to be unrealistic so the buildings are slightly abstract rather than straight.

This is my second building, it is slightly different to the first building I've added a chimney on the roof but still I have kept the style as before.

My third building is quite simple I have just used 4 polygons on 3d Maya and I've changed the size of each polygons. In this building I have changed the style slightly so it would look different to the two buildings I have done before. The reason I have created these three different building is so I could learn this abstract style and try and create my own version before I build the set for the scene.
