My Final Digial Paintings

These are my final images I have worked on and painted in Photoshop I am quite pleased with my work because I have put a lot of effort in these images however I feel there are still improvements need to be made. I will then create a slide show showing these images in my show reel I have also chosen a piano music to go along with my images.

Monday 22nd April

Digital Painting in Photoshop

I then chosen my images, and opened them on Photoshop where I start my Paintings

In Photoshop I deleted the background using the magic wand tool and for the night time scene I have zoomed into the the image and erased some of the windows so I could paint the lights on the buildings.

Monday 15th April

Changing the perspective view of my camera in my scene.

I have tried to move my model about to change parts of the view as well as my camera perspective.

The night time view.
I have tried different colour shades and I just rendered each images so then I will have a series of images to choose to place over my digital painting in Photoshop.

Monday 8th April

I have created more skyscrapers to fill my scene up.

This is the second image I have rendered however I wanted to change the colours of the windows.
This is my fouth rendered image i have change parts of the colours and darkened the windows

I have changed and removed some objects.

I have finally added another building at the back of this scene and rendered it out.

Monday 1st April

I have created my skyscrapers buildings on 3d maya. I started of just using blocks to test the perspective view of how I would want my camera to view.

This is the simple test.

I then created these Skyscrapers models and rendered it as an image, using natural sunlight as part of the settings in 3d maya software. However   there wasn't enough buildings.

Monday 11th March

Recently I've bought a book called The Digital Matte Painting Handbook, because I've wrote an essay about becoming an digital Matte painter for my future career. I thought this book is very interesting as I have learnt about the history of Matte Paintings and how it all began. As the Glass shot being the earliest way to create matte paintings for films. I have also researched two Matte artists who are considered to be the most influential artists in this environment are Peter Ellenshaw and Albert Whitlock along with those artists i have also looked into temporary digital matte artist. Eric Chauvin is an temporary Matte artists he was well known for his film work in all three Star Wars special edition releases.
